This is a difficult e-mail to write, but for the immediate future I need to reduce the number of Yoga classes I’m teaching – and after tomorrow will be only teaching one class a week. I don’t take this lightly as it’s an honor and a joy to teach every one of you.
If you’ve taken a class with me, you’ve probably heard me talk about how one of the most integral parts of Yoga is being mindful of what our body tells us. Over the past few weeks, I’ve come to realize that I’ve been putting off listening to what my own body has been trying to tell me. Dealing with the after effects of my family’s recent accident, caring for my wife and sons, maintaining my own (non-Yoga) business and teaching 3-4 classes a week. For the first time in five years, I haven’t been able to make the time for my own regular Yoga practice – and just recently starting experiencing a recurrence of some of my past health issues – basically my body telling me that I better listen a little louder!
It is a hard but necessary choice to make. I realize that everyone’s schedule is different, but in the hopes of picking a day and time that is convenient for as many as possible, starting March 10th, I’ll be teaching a weekly Sunday Afternoon Yoga class at 3:30PM at Ridgely Retreat’s (http://RidgelyRetreat.com) beautiful Treehouse Yoga studio in West Annapolis.
Ridgely has graciously agreed to honor Annapolis Yoga class-cards for my class as well as provide discounted 3-class blocks of classes for $45 for my students (their single class rate $20). If you’ve purchased an Annapolis Yoga card recently and can’t make the Sunday class, please e-mail me so I can give you a complete refund on any unused classes.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding!
Namaste.
